24 November 2011: Award Winners Announced
At the first of GP Synergy’s two end of year events held earlier this week, GP Synergy awarded Dr Eloise Warren the inaugural Dr Jeremy Bunker Outstanding Achievement Award and Dr Vanessa Jones the Outstanding Academic Achievement by a Registrar Award.
9 November 2011: Correction to GP Synergy Board Appointments
We wish to advise you of a correction to our previous correspondence dated 31 October 2011. Dr Narelle Shadbolt had not been included in the new list of Directors and Dr Ashok Chalasani had been listed in error. We apologise to both Dr Shadbolt and Dr Chalasani for any inconvenience caused.
31 October 2011: New GP Synergy Board Appointments
Three new Board Directors were elected by Members at GP Synergy’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Friday 28th October 2011 which also saw the reappointment of Dr Charlotte Hespe as Chair.
Sept 2011: Award for outstanding achievement created in honour of Dr Jeremy Bunker
GP Synergy has developed an awards program in recognition of the late Dr Jeremy Bunker to identify and acknowledge an outstanding achievement of staff, supervisors, registrars or former trainees who have completed general practice training within the past three years.
June 2011: GP Synergy appoints new Director of Training
GP Synergy welcomes Associate Professor Rosa Canalese as the recently appointed Director of Training. Rosa takes on the role previously held by the highly respected and much loved Dr Jeremy Bunker who passed away from cancer earlier this year.
May 2011: GP Synergy is committed to supporting and enhancing the training program in the New England / Northwest region
We are planning for substantial expansion of the training program in the region; Armidale will be enhanced to become our prime regional hub.
October 2010: GP Synergy Supervisor James Best awarded RACGP GP Supervisor of the year award

Nov 2009: GP Synergy registrar awarded for highest achievement in RACGP fellowship exam
GP Synergy congratulates recently completed GP Synergy GP Registrar John Cass-Verco for being awarded the Tony Buhagiar medal for the highest result in the 2009.1 RACGP fellowship exam in NSW/ACT. To find out more about John and his experience as a GP Registrar with GP Synergy, click here.
