Rural Rotation Enquiries/Support
GP Synergy has a staff member dedicated to assisting registrars in the lead up to and during their rural training. Registrar Support Officer, Kerry Robins, has 19 years experience in case management work within the welfare and education sector and holds an Associate Diploma in Social Sciences and Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Care. She is currently undertaking Master of Clinical Counselling at University of New England, Armidale and volunteers as a Lifeline Telephone Counsellor.
A key part of Kerry’s role is to provide ongoing support and practical on the ground assistance to rurally-based GP registrars who are entering and/or relocating within a new rural region. She can assist and support you with an array of issues including:-
- Assistance around the National Minimum Terms and Conditions
- Assistance with relocation including arranging housing and schooling
- Establishing social networks and local resources
- Identifying social and professional connections
Kerry is available at any time to assist registrars during their training.
