How to become a GPS
GP Synergy is actively seeking new teaching practices in New England and the Northwest of NSW (our rural territory) and practices in the Sydney metropolitan region who address areas of medical service need and workforce shortage issues, in particular featuring the following characteristics:-
- Practices that can demonstrate excellence in clinical practice (i.e. practice facilities, exemplary record keeping practices, alliances with allied health, innovative practice staffing, etc).
- Practices located in certain geographical areas, such as within the Manly Warringah and South Eastern Sydney Divisions of General Practice.
- Practices with a significant proportion of disadvantaged patients particularly:- residential aged care facility patients; migrant and refugee health; drug health; adolescent health; indigenous health.
We have a large number of currently accredited teaching practices in other areas of GP Synergy and we are not actively recruiting additional teaching practices in these areas.
